Discover Islam Sweden exists to help people in Sweden understand Islam through clear, accessible, sourced information — whether you're curious, skeptical, researching a specific question, or seriously considering Islam for yourself.

What we believe about this project

• Questions are welcome. Including the difficult ones. We'd rather address a hard question directly than pretend it doesn't exist.
• No pressure. This site exists to inform, not to pressure anyone toward a decision. Explore Islam. Ask freely. Decide for yourself.
• Evidence matters. We try to distinguish clearly between what is established historical fact, what is Islamic tradition, and what is scholarly interpretation or opinion.
• Transparency. Where we haven't reviewed something as thoroughly as we'd like, we say so rather than overstating our confidence.

How we source content

Islamic content on this site draws on the Qur'an, authentic hadith collections, classical tafsir, and recognised works of seerah (prophetic biography) and fiqh (Islamic law), alongside relevant academic and historical scholarship. We write original content rather than copying from other dawah organisations, and we independently verify claims — including popular ones — before publishing them.
